After having a deliciously fresh lunch from the farmers market, I was excited to see what a completely fresh dinner was going to taste like. Park Chow is a small restaurant that serves all fresh, locally grown or organic foods. No matter what you order, you are guaranteed a good quality meal. This restaurant chose to operate this way because they felt it was important to provide healthy food for the people around them, as well as help support the local farmers of the community. For dinner, I ordered the cheeseburger on a baguette with fries. For a starter, Park Chow offered a family style salad option. Normally, I order salads with just ice burg lettuce with ranch dressing, but this salad had every other type of lettuce, a few other types of greens I had never tried before. The dressing was also much lighter than my normal choice. This salad was very refreshing, and I felt good after eating it because I knew it was healthy. My main meal was great as well. I had never had a cheeseburger on a baguette before, but it was a nice change, and I might have liked it a little better than a regular bun. My salad and burger were wonderful, but the real MVP of this meal was the dessert. The rest of my meal could have been absolutely awful, but after taking one bite of my dessert, I would have gone back to Park Chow in a heartbeat. For dessert, we were given a ginger cake, a pumpkin ice cream, and a whipped cream made from scratch. I was very tempted to ask for seconds, or steal leftovers from my neighbors. Actually, if my neighbors did have any left overs I would have taken them, but this dessert was such a hit, there were barely any left overs seen in my corner of the table. I wouldn’t have had a problem eating any this healthy food again.
